Will Russian electricity go to Armenia through Azerbaijan?
Baku/11.09.23/Turan: Moscow is considering the possibility of supplying 300 MW of electricity through Azerbaijan to Armenia, and from there to Iran, Russian Energy Minister Nikolai Shulginov said in an interview with RIA Novosti.
"Now we are considering the possibility of supplying electricity through the territory of Azerbaijan to Armenia, from it to Iran and possibly further to other countries.
At the first stage, we agree with Tehran and Baku to use the existing infrastructure, without new construction," he said. According to him, all participants in the project are interested.
The Azerbaijani side did not report on such a project. It is also not clear what the supply route will be, given the fact that the energy infrastructure between Azerbaijan and Armenia is currently not operational. -02D-
