Winners of the EU Eco Contest "Ozun Yarat" (Create It Yourself)
Baku / 24.08.20 / Turan: The winners of the "Create Yourself" competition, organized by the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of Azerbaijan, the European Union and the United Nations Development Program, have been determined.
More than 200 applications were received for the competition. According to the terms of the competition, it was necessary to send the recreated items, which are considered household waste in everyday life.
"Create Yourself" Platform is designed to encourage creativity in reducing emissions and protecting the environment. The number of applications is an indicator of the determination of the Azerbaijani people to protect nature, talent in handicrafts, ”said the head of the EU Delegation to Azerbaijan Kestutis Yankauskas.
The winner of the competition and the prize of 3 thousand manats was Leyla Mammadova with the project "Plastic bags". Her handicrafts are aimed at solving the problem of plastic waste.
The second place won Sayid Aliyev with the work of a portable brazier, created from unnecessary metal parts.
The third place won Kamran Gasimzade, who turned an old metal barrel into a sink, which can be used in every home. –71D-
