Yashar Cafarli appeals to the Prosecutor Office
Head of the Public Association "The officers in reserve" Yashar Cafarli appealed to the Prosecutor General Office, the Interior Ministry and other law enforcement agencies.
Despite the passing of five days from the day of the attack on Yashar Cafarli, no investigative actions have been carried out and the case is not filed, the statement said.
One of the detained, who was also involved in the attack on Cafarli was soon released. All this gives rise to the suspicion that the investigation of the case will not be an objective, the statement says.
On the evening of April 2, Yashar Cafarli, was attacked by two unknown persons outside his home. He was injured, but neighbors were able to detain one of the attackers and took him to the Yasamal Police Office 29.
On April 3 the materials of the case and arrested were handed over to the Yasamal Prosecutor Office. The next day, on April 4, Yashar Cafarli was received by the prosecutor of the Yasamal District, Hasrat Pirmamedov and said that on April 3, the materials were handed over to the Prosecutor General, beacuase the detainee is of the military. By law, the case should be considered by a military prosecutor.
According to Cafarli, information was passed to the press referring to the officials that the file was not passed to the Prosecutor General Office.
Prosecutor office has not commented on the appeal by Yashar Cafarli.
A man who attacked cafarli was military. Cafarli for a long time has been sharply criticizing the defense minister for the shortcomings in the army, and cafarli believes that the attack on him was organized by the leadership of the Defense Ministry. -03D04-
