The participants of the Davos forum in Baku vote for the integration of the South Caucasus and Central Asia
A two-day World Economic Forum (Davos Forum) in Baku continues. The executive head of the Forum, Klaus Schwab, said that the tone of the event sets the regional cooperation, which can only be achieved under political stability and development of society.
According to him, the South Caucasus and Central Asia has great potential for long-term economic success not only because of the natural resources, but also human resources, which in the next decade will be crucial for the world economy.
The economist believes that, today's event will promote the development of scenarios of overall development of the South Caucasus and Central Asia.
The Forum participants voted for the future of the region. Almost two-thirds (62.3%) voted in favor of integration, 22% - for the fragmentation, and only 15.7% - for the polarization of regions.
The forum is to hold sessions on the following topics: "Energy and Natural Resources", "Entrepreneurship and Human Capital", "Finance and Long-term Investment", "Trade and Supply", "Vision of Azerbaijan: forward to the new economy, and so on.
The decision to hold the World Economic Forum in Baku was reached on January 23 at a meeting of the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and Executive Chairman of WEF, Klaus Schwab, in Davos.—0—

Azerbaijani internet service providers Aztelekom and Baktelekom will introduce substantial changes to their pricing structure starting August 15, the companies announced today. Under the new tariffs, the minimum internet speed will rise to 100 Mbit/s, with the cost per Mbit/s decreasing from 0.45 AZN to 0.25 AZN. As a result, monthly charges will be set at 25 AZN for 100 Mbit/s, 30 AZN for 150 Mbit/s, and 36 AZN for 250 Mbit/s.
