Yerevan is preparing to send a response to Baku's latest proposals on a peace treaty
Baku/08.12.22/Turan: Work on a peace treaty between Armenia and Azerbaijan continues, the head of the Armenian Security Council Armen Grigoryan said on Thursday in an interview with reporters, answering a question about the latest proposal of the Azerbaijani side on the draft peace treaty.
"We continue to work on the text, and the edited version will be sent to Azerbaijan soon," he said. At the same time, he added: “Armenia, represented by the government, made every effort so that we could conclude a peace agreement. Now, at the end of the year, it is difficult to say that this will work out, but we will continue the work, it all depends on the results of the work,” Grigoryan said.
Being asked about Nagorno-Karabakh, he said: “In Washington, an agreement was reached on the creation of an international mechanism for Nagorno-Karabakh and Azerbaijan to discuss the rights and security of Armenians. It is o not clear whether this will be done within the peace treaty or outside the peace treaty. Yerevan stands for the creation of security guarantees, for the creation of such a mechanism, for the discussion between Nagorno-Karabakh and Azerbaijan of issues of rights and security,” Grigoryan concluded. -02D-
