My considerations…

On December 13, during discussions in the Milli Majlis (Parliament) on proposed amendments to the law "On Military Duty and Military Service," Azər Babayev, head of the Call to Active Military Service Department at the State Service for Mobilization and Conscription, stated that the reduction of military service duration was being discussed.

On December 6, by the decision of Prime Minister Ali Asadov, the "List of types of technical means intended for obtaining information covertly during operational-search activities" was expanded. Items 17-24 were added to the list with the following content:

The head of the Civil Defense Headquarters under the Public Health and Reforms Center of the Ministry of Health, Adalat Verdiyev, has been arrested. Adalat Verdiyev, a reserve officer and military expert, is accused of disseminating military information considered a state secret, according to the Prosecutor General’s Office.

The demining of Karabakh lands liberated from Armenian occupation is carried out according to a plan approved annually by the Cabinet of Ministers (CM) at the end of each year. In line with the CM’s directive[1], the Azerbaijan Mine Action Agency (ANAMA), in coordination with other state bodies involved in demining — the Ministry of Defense, the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, and the State Border Service — submits its proposals on the annual demining plan, considering priority areas for demining in liberated regions as well as other areas affected by war and military operations, to the CM by December 1 each year.
