Baku/17.10.21/Turan: In Azerbaijan, over the past day, 1,896 new cases of coronavirus infection have been registered, 764 patients have recovered, 19 have died, the Operational Headquarters under the Cabinet of Ministers said on October 17.
In total, 502,207 cases of COVID-19 infection have been identified in Azerbaijan since the beginning of the pandemic, including 478,403 people recovered, 6,746 died, treatment of 15,926 active patients continues.
During the day, 11,261 coronavirus tests were carried out.
Also, over the past day, 25,462 people have been vaccinated against COVID-19.
During the day, the number of people vaccinated with the first dose was 9,962, the second - 15,500.
The total number of vaccinations in Azerbaijan today is 9,194,432.
The first dose of the vaccine was received by 4,964,151, two doses - by 4,230,281 people.-06B-

As part of the struggle against illegal migration in Baku city, operative actions were carried out at different addresses. The Interior Ministry reports that employees of the Department for Combating Illegal Migration identified and detained 34 foreigners without documents giving the right to reside and stay on the territory of Azerbaijan.
