10 hectares are burning in the Gizilagach National Park
Baku/27.08.21/Turan: On August 27, a fire broke out on the territory of the Gizilagach National Park, which covered an area of 10 hectares. Measures are being taken to extinguish the fire, the Emergencies Ministry said on Friday.
"Gazylagach" is the largest reserve in the Caspian, where millions of migratory birds nest and winter every year. The fire engulfed the reed thickets, where wild birds usually make their nests.
* The reserve is located in the south of Azerbaijan (150 km from Baku), on the territory of the Lankaran region. Its area is more than 88 thousand hectares, of which 45 thousand are occupied by water. -16D-
