1,017 new cases of COVID-19 infection
Baku/10.10.21/Turan: In Azerbaijan, 1,017 new cases of coronavirus infection were registered, 1,119 people were cured, 16 died, the Operational Headquarters under the Cabinet of Ministers said on October 9.
In total, 491,147 cases of coronavirus infection were identified in the country, including 471,980 people recovered, 6,654 died, 12,513 active patients continue treatment.
Over the past day, 11,679 tests have been carried out.
Also, over the past day, 39,890 vaccines against coronavirus have been introduced in Azerbaijan.
During the day, the number of people vaccinated with the first dose was 13 816 people, the second - 26 074 people.
The total number of those vaccinated is 8,962,945, of which the first dose is 4,877,452, the second dose is 4,085,493.-06D--

President of the European Parliament Roberta Metsola has invited Azerbaijani economist and political prisoner Professor Gubad Ibadoglu to Strasbourg to attend the 2024 Sakharov Prize award ceremony.
