1,200 Schools Connected to the Internet
In the 2011-12 school year, the project E-School was joined by 40 educational institutions. Under the "One student - one computer" system, two thousand students were issued notebooks, the press service of the Ministry of Education reported. According to the report, for children with special needs, a Remote Training Center was created. To bring to the learning process teachers, students and parents, the portal www.mesafedenmekteb.edu.az was launched.
Another 500 schools have joined the Education Network (Intranet and Internet). Thus, the number of schools that have joined the aforementioned system is 1,200. In addition, 1,300 teachers have been trained in ICT. Thus, the total number of teachers, who received training under the state program on informatization of education in 2008-2012, comes to 76,980 (52%). -03D04-
