Baku/01.05.21/Turan: 1 213 new cases of coronavirus infection have been registered in Azerbaijan, 2 104 people have been cured.
According to the operational headquarters under the Cabinet of Ministers, 21 people died, who tested positive for COVID-19.
So far, 320 322 people have been identified in Azerbaijan, 291 564 of them have been cured, 4 538 have died, the number of active patients is 24220.
During the last day, 12 692 tests were carried out to identify new cases of infection, and over the past period 3 253 878 tests were carried out in general.—0—

During search and operational activities, on January 30 at 11:20, 16.4 kg of drugs were discovered and seized in the area of the "Geytapa" border post, located on the Iran-Azerbaijan border. According to the Azerbaijan Border Service, this prevented an attempt to smuggle into Azerbaijan 11.3 kg of marijuana, 5.1 kg of opium, and 1,990 methadone M-40 pills from Iran.
