15 people suspected of drug trafficking detained
Baku/10.25.21/Turan: The Ministry of Internal Affairs continues to fight drug traffickers. Three persons suspected of drug trafficking were detained at an unfinished parking lot at 10 Ziverbey Ahmedbekov Street in the Yasamal district of the capital.
According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, during a search of residents of the capital Eldaniz Akperov, Javid Maharramov and Vusal Saidov, drugs and other accessories necessary for their use were found and seized.
In addition, over the past 10 days, 12 more people involved in drug trafficking were detained in the Yasamal region.
Large quantities of heroin and methamphetamine were found and seized from them. They confessed to being involved in drug trafficking. The investigation is ongoing in the Yasamal police. Police officers continue operational measures to detain persons involved in drug trafficking in the Yasamal region.
According to the State Commission for Combating Illicit Drug Trafficking, several drug transit routes pass through Azerbaijan: Iran-Azerbaijan, Iran-Azerbaijan-Russia-Japan, Iran-Azerbaijan-Georgia-Europe, Iran-Azerbaijan-Russia-Ukraine. -16d-
