150 Aftershocks Registered since November 14 Earthquake
Baku / 17.11.17 / Turan: After the six-point earthquake in the Agdam region on November 15, 150 aftershocks were recorded in the earthquake zone. This was stated by the head of the press service of the Republican Seismological Service Center of the Academy of Sciences Vusala Rafigizy.
According to her, out of 150 aftershocks only two were above three points. "The multiplicity of the aftershocks indicates the process of extinction in the earthquake focus and the reduction of tension, and this process will continue," she said.
35 stations of the Seismological Service Center are studying the seismological situation. Currently, the Center's employees are located in the Agdam and Barda districts, at the epicenter of the tremors, and are monitoring.
Recall that on November 15, an earthquake with a magnitude of 5.7 was recorded near the town of Agdam. The shocks caused damage to 127 houses in the Agdam district and 20 houses in the Terter district. People did not suffer from this. -05D-
