23 people killed in man-made and natural accidents in first quarter
Baku/20.04.22/Turan: In the first quarter of 2022 there were 3,584 natural and man-made accidents in Azerbaijan, the Ministry of Emergency Situations said. This is up by 1,445 cases or 68% from the same period of 2021.
As a result of natural and man-made accidents during this period 23 people were killed and 70 more were injured. The number of fatalities is up by 8 or 53% from the first quarter of last year.
During the first three months of 2022, 440 fires were reported in which 22 people died and 56 more were injured.
Also, there were 15 explosions during the same period, up by 5 or 25% from the same period of the last year. One person was killed in the explosions and 14 others injured.-05B06-
