Baku/23.08.19/ Turan: Due to the dry and hot weather of recent days, cases of sunstroke have become more frequent. Most often, such cases occur on the street, when people spend under the sun or in the air for a long time.
This season, the number of sunstrokes in the capital amounted to 29 cases, Turan was told in the Ministry of Health.
18 people were hospitalized, 11 people received help on the spot. Of the victims, 12 are women, and three are children.
Due to the continuing hot weather, when the air warms up to 40 degrees, the number of sun and heat shock will increase, doctors say. -05B-

On December 25, an Embraer 190 passenger plane operated by Azerbaijan Airlines CJSC (AZAL), on a Baku–Grozny flight, crashed near the city of Aktau in Kazakhstan. Azerbaijan’s Consul General in Aktau, Ayxan Suleymanlı, stated that the plane had 67 people onboard, including crew members, 38 of whom died. According to him, 26 of the deceased were Azerbaijani citizens.
