704 unexploded ordnance found in Baku area
Baku / 02.19.19 / Turan: In the Baku suburb of Kurdakhani, 704 unexploded ordnance were found, reported on Tuesday the National Agency for Mine Action of the Territories of Azerbaijan (ANAMA).
In particular, this structure received information about the discovery of ammunition and a hand grenade in the territory of the Kurdakhani village of the Sabunchu district of Baku. A mobile rapid response team and employees of the Sabunchu district police department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs were immediately dispatched to the territory.
They surveyed the area along the Bilgah-Sumgayit road, passing through Kuradahani.
In order to ensure the safety of the local population, the work site was enclosed.
Because of immediate operational search activities, 704 different NBPs and 1 machine gun shop were found.
The detected ammunition was delivered to a special ANAMA deactivation center.
An area of 1500 square meters were inspected near the place where they found ammunition, as well as an underground inspection area of 100 square meters. However, no other dangerous devices or objects were found. -16D--
