The Cabinet amended the conditions for registration of the buyer when purchasing a mobile phone number. Under the new rules, it is prohibited to buy a number for the name of another person. When buying a new number it is necessary to submit a copy of identity card. The new rules came into force on 22 August, 2015. Under the new rules, all data on the buyer will be included a single database of the information and computer center of Ministry of Communications. Only after that, a new telephone number will be activated during 24-hours.
The new regulation also includes a clause prohibiting the permanent transfer or lease mobile number.
In the case if a telephone or a phone number or the SIM card are stolen, the subscriber is obliged to notify the local police department. The new rules are applied not only to operators, but also to dealers and distributors. -05D-
