Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan Subscribed to Thomson Reuters
On October 11 the National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan and Thomson Reuters signed a contract in which employees of more than 40 research institutions of the Academy will have the opportunity to use the data of the Web of Science platform of Thomson Reuters. This was announced by the ANAS Department of Public Relations.
Web of Science is scientometric (bibliometric) database, which has an extensive collection of magazines with a high index, books, conference proceedings and other publications and is considered the gold standard in the field of scientific innovation and analysis in the world.
The platform Thomson Reuters Web of Science consists of three main catalogs: Science Citation Index Expanded, Social Sciences Citation Index and Arts and Humanities Citation Index. All three directories, covering the relevant scientific field, are an important significance for the domestic users.
The agreement provides for holding Thomson Reuters ex pert seminars and workshops on topics such as introduction to the rules of publication of articles in journals that are included in this database, the popularization of scientific innovations derived from scientific institutions, local scientists in the international space, etc.
The Director General of Intellectual Property Department and Science Thomson Reuters Vigie Krishnan said Azerbaijani scientists will have the opportunity to collaborate with international research centers and join the authoritative basis of Web of Science, the number of users of which reaches 20 million people. -02D-
