Action of Solidarity with Tofig Yagublu Continues
Baku / 16.09.20 / Turan: A hunger strike continues at the headquarters of the Musavat party as a sign of solidarity with the convicted opposition leader Tofig Yagublu, who himself has been refusing food for 15 days.
According to the human rights activist Zafar Ahmedov, who joined the hunger strike on September 13, on September 14, the head of the Musavat youth organization Elman Guliyev, who had been participating in the action since September 7, stopped the hunger strike due to the deteriorating condition.
“Currently, members of the Popular Front Party Elnur Hasanov and Ayat Ismail are participating in the hunger strike. Elnur Hasanov's condition has deteriorated sharply, ambulance doctors urged him to stop the action, but he refused,” Ahmedov said.
Hasanov and Ismail have been participating in the action since September 3.
At the same time, the PFPA activist Tofig Mammadov, who, due to a sharp deterioration in his health on September 11, suspended his hunger strike, resumed the action. — 06D-
