Activists propose not to let security forces violating human rights in Azerbaijan into the EU
Baku/23.08.22/Turan: On August 23, public activist Bahtiyar Hajiyev and co-founders of the "Protection Line" human rights organization Rufat Safarov and Zaur Akper met with advisers from the embassies of Germany, Belgium and the Czech Republic on at the EU Delegation in Azerbaijan.
"The issue of the kidnapping Bahtiyar Hajiyev in the center of Baku, the inhuman treatment of him and threats to his life were discussed," Safarov told Turan.
Hajiyev himself said that at the meeting he proposed to refuse visas to the EU countries for law enforcement officers who violate human rights and participate in torture.
According to him, European diplomats have said they are informing their governments about this. --03B--
