Air temperature in Azerbaijan rises to nearly +40° on Saturday

On Sunday, July 7, partly cloudy weather is expected in Baku and the Absheron Peninsula,  mostly without precipitation, and a moderate north-westerly wind will blow. The air temperature will be +21 +26° at night, +32 +37° during the day. Rains with thunderstorms are expected in some areas of Azerbaijan. In mountainous and foothill areas, precipitation will be torrential in nature, there is a possibility of hail. By evening, precipitation will gradually stop, and an occasionally increasing easterly wind will blow. The air temperature will be +22 +26° at night, +35 +39° during the day. +12 +17° is expected in the mountains at night, +20 +25° in the daytime.

The Ministry of Health of Azerbaijan appealed to the population with recommendations on health protection in connection with the established hot weather. The appeal indicates the need to avoid overheating of the body, which causes negative consequences for the body. The main symptoms of heat and sunstroke are redness of the face, severe headache, dizziness, darkening of the eyes, nausea, vomiting, nosebleeds and visual impairment.

Windy and rainy weather is expected in the regions of Azerbaijan starting from the evening of July 6 to the afternoon hours of the 8th. According to the "yellow" notification of the National Hydrometeorological Service, the wind will blow intermittently in the west of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic (NAR), Agstafa, Shamkir-Gazakh, Sheki-Zagatala zones, low-lying Karabakh, Mingachevir, the speed of which will reach 13.9-20.7 m/s.

On July 3, during the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) summit held in Astana, a joint declaration on establishing a strategic partnership between Azerbaijan and China was adopted. The declaration states that Azerbaijan expresses its desire to join BRICS, and China welcomes Azerbaijan's participation in BRICS cooperation.
