Almost 1200 infected COVID-19 per day
Baku/05.08.21/Turan: Over the past day, 1,196 new cases of coronavirus infection have been identified in Azerbaijan, 219 people have recovered, 4 have died, the Operational Headquarters under the Cabinet of Ministers said on August 5.
The total number of infected people since the beginning of the pandemic has reached 348,074, including 333,913 recovered, 5,043 have died, and 9118 active patients are still being treated.
Over the past day, 13,046 tests for coronavirus have been carried out.
Also, 63 623 people were vaccinated per day, including 39 940 with the first dose, 23 683 with the second.
A total of 5,251,051 people have been vaccinated in the country. Of these, 3,053,560 received the first dose, 2,197,491 were vaccinated with both doses. –06D-

France has accused Azerbaijan of interfering in the domestic affairs of New Caledonia, a French special administrative-territorial entity in the South Pacific. The allegation was made by French Interior Minister Gérald Darmanin during an interview with France 2 on May 15. Responding to a question about New Caledonia, Darmanin asserted, “Some leaders of New Caledonia, who are supporters of independence, have made a deal with Azerbaijan, which is undeniable.”
