Almost 285 thousand patients with diabetes mellitus have been registered in Azerbaijan
Baku/17.07.23/Turan: 284,656 patients with diabetes mellitus are currently registered in Azerbaijan and the number of patients has increased by 4839 over the past six months, Vugar Gurbanov, the executive director of TƏBIB (Association for the Management of Territorial Medical Units) said today.
He also said that in 53 hemodialysis centers of the country, 3,896 patients receive hemodialysis sessions and are provided with the necessary medications.
2001 patients suffering from multiple sclerosis were also registered in the country.
In January-June, the number of such patients increased by 34.
All patients of these categories are provided with appropriate medicines within the framework of the state program. ---06B---
