Baku/19.07.23/Turan: Ammunition and shells were found in the village of Kimyachylar in Sumgayit, the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Azerbaijan reported.
After receiving information about this, a group of sappers of the emergency rescue service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations immediately left for the place.
During the inspection of the territory, 9 units of 30-mm high-explosive anti-aircraft artillery shells, 12 units of 30-mm armor-piercing anti-aircraft artillery shells, 59 units of 23-mm armor-piercing anti-aircraft artillery shells, 22 M-12 fuses, 9 V-429 fuses, 13 T-90 fuses and 5 ammunition fuses were found. The ammunition was removed from the territory for neutralization," the Ministry of Emergency Situations noted.
According to local residents, a large military unit was located near the village in Soviet times and the discovered shells could have remained since that time. -06B-
