Another Group Of Shusha Residents Returned To Their Hometown

A new group of migrants from the Garadagh district of Baku has arrived in the city of Shusha, the State Committee for Refugees and Internally Displaced Persons reported. Seventy-nine Shusha residents, comprising 21 families, have returned to their hometown.

The key handover ceremony was attended by Elshad Iskenderov, Chief Adviser of the Special Representative Office of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the Shusha district, along with officials from the State Committee for Refugees and Internally Displaced Persons and the Administration of the State Reserve of the city of Shusha.

Families moving to Shusha for permanent residence are being allocated apartments in newly constructed buildings. Currently, 147 families, totaling 570 people, have been provided with apartments in the city. This initiative is part of ongoing efforts to resettle displaced persons and restore the population in Shusha.
