Arrested on the Ganja event suffers from oncology
Baku/16.05.19/Turan: The health of Aydin Gurbanov arrested in the Ganja events has sharply deteriorated. According to his wife Mahbuba Gurbanova, her husband suffers from an oncological disease of the stomach. The disease entered a dangerous phase - the tumor metastasized and struck the liver.
Gurbanov was arrested on July 28, 2018 and charged under the Article 228.3 (illegal arms trafficking) of the Criminal Code.
"Yesterday, when I took the drugs to the Medical Institution of the Ministry of Justice, we were able to see for 3-4 minutes. The doctor diagnosed "stomach cancer" and said that the tumor metastasized," the woman said. According to her, for a long time her husband was not provided a high-quality medical care. "For three months he didn"t even have an MRI. If they were tested on time, the disease would not have been so neglected,"said Gurbanova.
The Deputy Chief of the Medical Department of the Ministry of Justice, Iftihar Gurbanov, refrained from commenting, citing the lack of information about the health of the prisoner. -21C-

In 2017, the Sumgayit City Court ruled to evict the Aliyev family—refugees from Gubadli (Akper, Sarvinaz, Ramil, and two other family members)—from an illegally occupied apartment in the 12th microdistrict, Building 7A, Apartment 35. The court ordered the property be returned to its rightful owner, Samaya Aliyeva. However, the Ministry of Justice intervened, citing a presidential decree from July 1, 2004, which approved a state program for improving the living and working conditions of refugees. Under this directive, refugees without alternative housing cannot be evicted until they are provided with a replacement residence by the Executive Authority.
