At the trial of blogger Abdul Abilov
In the Baku Court of Grave Crimes today continued the trial of the Facebook activist Abdul Abilov.
As reported by relatives of the accused, first the testimony of a witness was heard.
From his testimony and questions the lawyers revealed that this man did not see the arrest of Abilov and was not present during the search in a rented apartment.
Further, Abilov gave the testimony, saying that immediately after the arrest he was taken to the General Directorate for Combating Organized Crime (GUBOP) Ministry of Internal Affairs, where he was asked about the created Facebook page called Stop Sycophants! Also, he asked whether he is related with the opposition leaders, Jamil Hasanli and Ali Kerimli.
Next on the course were the mother and the wife's brother of Abilov. His brother-in-law reported that he was detained along with Abdul; they were handcuffed and taken to GUBOP.
He also pointed out that one of the witnesses in front of him was invited to tea in GUBOP.
Both witnesses, he said, are not random people, and are collaborating with GUBOP. The process will continue on May 8.

The court ordered the property be returned to its rightful owner, Samaya Aliyeva. However, the Ministry of Justice intervened, citing a presidential decree from July 1, 2004, which approved a state program for improving the living and working conditions of refugees. Under this directive, refugees without alternative housing cannot be evicted until they are provided with a replacement residence by the Executive Authority.
