Attempt to smuggle 20 kg of marijuana from Iran foiled
Baku/01.02.23/Turan: Azerbaijani border guards stopped another smuggling of a large consignment of drugs from Iran.
On January 30, at about 2 pm, near the village of Gazakhlar, Fizuli region, a bundle containing 12 kg 400 gram marijuana.
On the same day, at about 9:30 pm, a bundle with 8 kg of marijuana and 300 psychotropic tablets “methadone M-40” was found in the vicinity of the village of Bahramtepe, Imishli region.
Operational and investigative measures are continuing on the facts, the State Border Service of Azerbaijan said in a statement. ---05D---
