AZAL warned those leaving for Russia
Baku/20.08.21/Turan: Passengers departing from Azerbaijan to Russia will have to download a special application "Traveling without COVID-19" from September 1. This is stated in the appeal of AZAL, the national air carrier of Azerbaijan.
"Owing to changes in the rules of entry to Russia for Azerbaijani citizens, we ask you to take into account that from September 1, passengers who have downloaded the mobile application "Traveling without COVID-19" will be allowed on flights," AZAL said in a press release.
Besides, the airline warns about the necessity of having a certificate on the results of a PCR test only from approved clinics or laboratories. The list of these medical institutions will be published on the official website of AZAL in the near future.
Note that "Information about testing" will be stored in the mobile application in the form of a QR code which must be shown at check-in and border checkpoints upon arrival in Russia," the airline notes.
It has to be kept in mind that since July 25, the use of the "I travel without COVID-19" application has become mandatory for those entering Russia from the EAEU member states which, in addition to the Russian Federation, includes Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan.
From September 1, the application will become necessary when entering Russia from Azerbaijan, Moldova, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan. In each country there are application-related laboratories and test points, a list of them is placed in the "Laboratories" section.
It should be added that no installation of the applications is mandatory for Russian citizens, it is enough to pass a PCR test for COVID-19 within three days from the date of arrival in Russia.
The mobile application is installed on a smartphone or other devices with operating systems of iOS version 10 and higher or Android version 5 and higher. Data on children and relatives who do not use a smartphone can be placed on a single mobile device. You can download the application in the AppStore, PlayMarket and AppGallery stores— - 06D-
