Azerbaijani citizens rescued off the coast of Tunisia
Baku/16.04.22/Turan: Tunisian rescue services rescued 7 people from the crew of a merchant ship that sank off the coast of the country, "Moskovsky Komsomolets" reported with reference to the local Mosaique FM radio station.
According to the Tunisian civil defense department, the crew included 7 people, all of them citizens of Turkey and Azerbaijan. The crew members were taken to the hospital, the condition of the rescued is stable.
The wreck followed from Equatorial Guinea and began to sink. The crew issued a distress signal, which was noticed by the Coast Guard, the report says.—06B-

On January 7, President Ilham Aliyev signed a decree increasing the salaries of employees in several organizations funded by the state budget. According to the decree, the monthly salaries of managerial and other employees in around 20 institutions (including the Presidium, Apparatus, and Ganja Branch of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences, and the Heydar Aliyev Center) will increase by an average of 15% starting January 1, 2025.
