Azerbaijani judoka won the Paralympics in Tokyo
Baku/27.08.21/Turan: Azerbaijani judoka Shahana Hajiyeva became the winner of the Paralympics in Tokyo among athletes in the 48 kg weight category.
On the way to the final, she defeated rivals from Japan, Russia and France. It has to be kept in mind that this is the second medal of Azerbaijan at the Games - The first one was won by power-lifter Parvin Mammadov who became the bronze medalist.
Note that on August 24, the XVI Summer Paralympic Games started in Tokyo. Azerbaijan is represented at the Games by 35 Paralympians (23 men and 12 women), who compete in six sports.- 06B-
