Baku/23.01.14/Turan : Officer of the Armed Forces of Azerbaijan, a captain Elnur Jafarov, was killed by Armenian snipers during the execution of a task , the press service of the Defense Ministry of Azerbaijan. It happened on January 23 at the time of ceasefire violation by the Armenian side on the direction of the Tartar front.
By the order of the Minister of Defense Zakir Hasanov , a captain Elnur Jafarov was awarded posthumously a third degree medal "For Distinguished Military Service" for showing courage.
