Azerbaijani Wanted by Interpol Detained in Tbilisi
Baku / 27.03.19 / Turan: A 56-year-old Azerbaijani citizen wanted by Interpol has been detained in the center of Tbilisi. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia.
At Baku's request, the man was put on the international wanted list by a red circular in February 2019 on charges of large-scale fraud. The name of the detainee is not disclosed.
The accused was detained as a result of operational search activities of the National Bureau of Interpol.
Currently, measures are being taken to extradite the detainee to Azerbaijan, the report says. -02D-

On Tuesday, the General Prosecutor's Office announced the initiation of new criminal cases against agricultural product exporters who allegedly concealed their earnings abroad. Specifically, the Sumgayit City Prosecutor's Office has opened a criminal case under Articles 208.2.1 and 208.2.2 (failure to return foreign currency to the country in large amounts by prior agreement of a group of individuals) and Article 308.2 (abuse of office causing serious consequences) against officials of the company "SOİL BOONS" LLC – Jahangir Aliyev, Elyar Gadzhiev, Mehman Mirzamedev, Saleh Gabilov, and Aly Aliyev.
