Azerbaijanis are ahead of the world average level on the use of medical masks
Baku/27.03.21/Turan: The Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation at Washington University in Seattle, USA conducted a study on the implementation of the mask regime by the population in various countries. Azerbaijan is recognized as a leader among the states of the South Caucasus in compliance with the mask regime, follows from the report.
In Georgia, this indicator is 43%, and in Armenia - 38%, then in Azerbaijan it reaches 78%, even exceeding the world average - 62%. The report was prepared on the basis of data obtained using special aerial photography technology.
Nevertheless, a very high level of coronavirus infection has been recorded in Azerbaijan in recent days. On March 27, 1759 coronavirus was infected and 24 people died across the country.-0-

President of the European Parliament Roberta Metsola has invited Azerbaijani economist and political prisoner Professor Gubad Ibadoglu to Strasbourg to attend the 2024 Sakharov Prize award ceremony. The invitation, delivered by Member of the European Parliament Michael Bloss at the COP29 climate conference, comes as Ibadoglu remains under house arrest and prohibited from leaving Azerbaijan.
