Baku rejects the summer time due to race 24 Hours of Le Mans?
The official Baku refused to daylight saving time not because of worries about the health of the people, but because of the competition of Formula 1 and the 24 Hours of Le Mansme to this conclusion in the course of studying the requirements of the International Federation of Motorsport (FIA.)
The fact that the FIA in connection with the auto racing "Formula 1" demanded from Baku that the beginning of the competition did not coincide with the finish of the 24-hour auto marathon at Le Mans , which is 200 km from Paris, and the start should be given no later than 4 hours before sunset.
The fact that the oldest 24-hours Le Mans race will finish on June 19 at 15.00 pm Paris time. In Baku the race starts at 18:00 hours. There is a three hour time difference. In this case, the finish in France and in Baku would coincide. Both countries were listed in the list of countries that make the transition to summer and winter time. Abandoning transition to summer time, Baku starts with Formula 1 at 18:00 local time and at 16:00 in Paris, that is, one hour after the end of the marathon at Le Mans. Thus the term by FIA is followed.
It should also be noted that in Formula-1 in Baku has been reserved for at least 5 years. This means that the failure of the summer time was inevitable.
The Azerbaijani Cabinet of Ministers decided to abolish its own decision of 17 March 1997 on the daylight saving time.
In making this decision they took into account the opinion of the National Academy of Sciences, said the Cabinet of Ministers.
Earlier, the Presidium of the Academy of Sciences issued a decision that the transition between summer and winter time is unjustified and has a negative psychological impact.
But in reality, daylight saving time, it was convenient because the day was prolonged for an hour in the summer, which was convenient for relaxing after a long working day.-0-
