Baku Works out Methods to Eliminate Threats to Marine Infrastructure
On 8-11 December the Caspian forces and resources of the State Border Service of Azerbaijan conducted tactical exercises.
The main content of the exercise was the safety of oil and gas pipelines and infrastructure, the organization of border searches and the identification and neutralization of terrorists using rocket and artillery assets.
As stated in the press center of the State Border Service, during the four-level exercise there were developed 10 episodes on improving tactical and fighting actions of the units and formations.
In particular, we are talking about the transition from the normal mode of protection and enforcement of oil and gas export pipelines areas and emergency conditions.
Thus, actions were arranged to stop a ship, not responding and moving to an oil platform and landing on the ship.
Border forces defused conditional terrorist groups identified in the inspection of the ship intruder, neutralized components of weapons of mass destruction and drugs found on the ship-offender.
Separately were worked out methods for detection and destruction of the offending ships in the dark, as well as underwater boats of an imaginary enemy. -03D04-
