Baku / 18.05.17 / Turan: During the operation of police officers of the Khatai district, a group of counterfeiters was detained, the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs reported.
In particular, the police detained a Baku resident, earlier convicted Afghan Naghiyev and a resident of Shabran Sarkhan Mammadov.
During the search, the police found and seized 4 counterfeit bills of 50 manats and 4 counterfeit bills of 20 manats, as well as 0.439 g of heroin. They admitted that the fake bills had been transferred to them by a Vusal for resale.
Later, a resident of the village of Yeni Surakhani Vusal Jumshudov was detained. In the place of his residence, special equipment for making counterfeit money, a large amount of counterfeit money and other material evidence was discovered and seized.
Members of the organized group gave confessions that counterfeit bills were made for sale in shopping centers, in densely populated areas of the capital and districts of the republic.
A criminal case was opened on the fact in the investigative department of the Khatai district police, and the investigation continues, the Interior Ministry said. -16D06--
