Death toll in Sunday's crash rises to five
Baku/01.01.23/Turan: On the morning of January 1, a severe car accident occurred in Baku on Heydar Aliyev Avenue. As a result of the collision of Mercedes and Prius cars, five people died. Three passengers in a Mercedes and two in a Prius.
In the evening, the Ministry of Internal Affairs announced the names of the dead: Vugar Abdullayev -1997, Parviz Alizade – 1994, Aytekin Allahyarova – 1994, Kenul Namazova – 2001, Zhalia Aslanova -1997.
Note that initially it was reported about three dead.
Judging by the video taken by witnesses of the accident, the cars were moving at high speed and there was a head-on collision. -02B-
