Baku/30.09.22/Turan: On Friday morning, Tofig Yagublu, a member of the Musavat party and the National Council, was detained, his daughter Nigar Khazi said.
According to her, Yagublu was detained by plainclothes persons immediately after he left the house. "Police posts were set up around our house. As soon as the father came out, he was detained and taken away in an unknown direction," the daughter said.
She linked the detention of the activist with today's protest action organized by the Party of People's Front of Azerbaijan in front of the Milli Majlis building. The Interior Ministry could not be reached for comment.
Earlier, the executive power of Baku did not authorize the rally, and the Interior Ministry warned that the demonstration would be suppressed by the police. Recall that the participants intend to protest against the reactionary law on political parties. -06B-
