Baku / 03.04.18 / Turan: Law enforcement agencies detained Saniya Huseynova, director of the Sheki regional perinatal center, in connection with the death of a woman in labor in this institution on March 31.
She is suspected of committing acts under article 314.2 (negligence of an official, which caused the victim"s death) of the Criminal Code of Azerbaijan. It's about the death of a resident of Sheki Turkan Ilham Gyzy Mammadova after the cesarean section operation.
At present, a comprehensive investigation is underway, the press service of the Prosecutor General's Office reported. -06D-

On December 25, an Embraer 190 passenger plane operated by Azerbaijan Airlines CJSC (AZAL), on a Baku–Grozny flight, crashed near the city of Aktau in Kazakhstan. Azerbaijan’s Consul General in Aktau, Ayxan Suleymanlı, stated that the plane had 67 people onboard, including crew members, 38 of whom died. According to him, 26 of the deceased were Azerbaijani citizens.
