Does post office detain letters from the ECHR?
Baku/10.04.18/Turan: Letters from the European Court of Human Rights were delivered to lawyer Elchin Sadigov after communications on his clients' cases have already been completed. Turan was informed by Elchin Sadigov. One of these letters was connected with a complaint about the ban on leaving the country of journalists Ainur Elgunesh, Natig Javadli and Aytaj Akhmedova.
A letter from the ECHR was sent on February 22. However, Azerpocht assures that the letter arrived in the country only on April 4, so it was delivered to the lawyer on the 10th. At the same time, the ECHR took time to counsel to answer questions before April 3. To restore communication to the lawyer there is an additional correspondence. Sadigov believes that the letters are deliberately detained at the post office. Earlier, lawyers complained about the delay of complaints sent to the ECHR from Azerbaijan. -05B-
