
Baku / 20.04.17 / Turan: The Ministry of Ecology has announced a forecast for increasing water availability and floods in the rivers of Azerbaijan for April-June.
Thus, the water content of rivers on the southwestern slopes of the Greater Caucasus (Balaken-Sheki, Oguz-Gabala) will be 80-105% to the long-term norm, in the north-east of the Greater Caucasus (Guba-Gusar-Khachmaz) - 63-90%, the Lesser Caucasus (Dashkesan-Gadabay-Goygol) - 75-100%, Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic and Lankaran-Astara region 45-85%.
Specialists of the Ministry of Ecology note that in connection with the excess of snow resources this year the forecast of precipitation in April-June is less than the norm, and on certain days spring floods are possible on the mountain rivers of the Greater and Lesser Caucasus. -05B06-
