Electronic Security Service warns of “phishing” attacks
Baku/14.03.22/Turan: the Electronic Security Service under the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport warned citizens of “phishing” attacks targeting banks in recent days.
The service says that this time, cybercriminals are trying to attract the attention of people by creating sites that are not official, but look real, abusing the name of the International Bank of Azerbaijan (iba).
"Thus, citizens are promised a fake gift campaign on a web resource that has nothing to do with the official website of the IBA. In order to get the “Earned” amount from the fraudulent campaign, the user is required to provide the bank and other personal information. The goal is to get financial resources with the “trap”of users,” the warning says.
To protect against cyber attacks, he asks citizens to follow the rules of cybersecurity. "Be skeptical of every message you receive and do not act abruptly, being deceived by attractive promises. Do not trust the promises that offer gifts, Free bonuses and prizes. Do not enter suspicious passages. Always check the accuracy of the information using different means of communication. If you receive such information on behalf of any company, entity or organization, first of all, make sure that the information is correct by contacting that entity or visiting its official website on a new page in the web browser. Do not forward messages that you are not sure about or do not rely on messages that are sent to you,” this is stated in the notice. -0-
