In the subalpine village of Kichik Garamurad of the Gedabey district, today there was an opening ceremony of a new aqueduct built under the grant project "Human Development and Security" of the Japanese Embassy in Azerbaijan.
Implementation of the project was arranged by the organization "Contributing to solving social problems of youth." The total cost of the project was 122 thousand dollars, the Japanese Embassy reported. -05D04-

On December 25, an Embraer 190 passenger plane operated by Azerbaijan Airlines CJSC (AZAL), on a Baku–Grozny flight, crashed near the city of Aktau in Kazakhstan. Azerbaijan’s Consul General in Aktau, Ayxan Suleymanlı, stated that the plane had 67 people onboard, including crew members, 38 of whom died. According to him, 26 of the deceased were Azerbaijani citizens.
