Eldəniz Səlimov
Baku/27.12.21/Turan: On Decemebr 27, the Sumgayit Serious Crimes Court issued a verdict on to ex- MP Eldaniz Salimov.
The court found him guilty of abuse of office (Article 309.2 of the Criminal Code) and imprisoned him for 3 and a half years.
In July, Salimov beat a police officer in a restaurant, who asked him not to violate the requirements of the quarantine regime. The incident took place in Khachmaz.
The Milli Majlis deprived him of immunity and the ex-deputy was arrested. -02D-

One more child, who was injured in a road accident in Imishli region on 18 January, died in Baku hospital. Despite the efforts of doctors, the life of the minor born in 2015 could not be saved.

Opposition members detained for critical social media posts were released on the same day, with no reports of mistreatment by authorities, Musavat Party deputy chairman Mustafa Hajibeyli told Turan news agency.
