Fines for violation of traffic rules increase in Azerbaijan
Baku/17.07.23/Turan: Fines for violation of traffic rules by drivers of vehicles are increasing in Azerbaijan. The relevant amendments to the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Republic of Azerbaijan were approved by President Ilham Aliyev.
According to the innovations, a fine of 200 manats will be imposed for exceeding the set speed on the road within 41-60 km/h, and 61 km/h or more - 300 manats.
In the previous version of the Administrative Code, the fines for these actions were 150 manats and 250 manats.
Fines are increased from 60 to 80 manats for violating the requirements of "Entry prohibited" road signs, overtaking or maneuvering into oncoming traffic, passenger transportation rules, turns to the left or in the opposite direction without complying with the requirements of horizontal marking lines. –06D-

As part of the struggle against illegal migration in Baku city, operative actions were carried out at different addresses. The Interior Ministry reports that employees of the Department for Combating Illegal Migration identified and detained 34 foreigners without documents giving the right to reside and stay on the territory of Azerbaijan.
