Large forces were involved in extinguishing a fire at a chemical plant in Sumgayit
Baku/13.06.23/Turan: Over 25 pieces of equipment and more than 100 personnel are involved in extinguishing a fire that broke out on the morning of June 13 at the Ethylene-propylene plant of "Azerkimya" of the state oil company of Azerbaijan SOCAR in Sumgayit.
An oil tank is burning at the plant, the Ministry of Emergency Situations told Turan. Along with extinguishing the fire, the process of pumping oil out of the tank is underway and this process can take 6-7 hours of time.
Firefighters are also taking measures to cool the burning and neighboring tanks. ---21B---
