Baku/14.10.21/Turan: Five people injured in yesterday's serious traffic accident on Baku airport road remain in the intensive care unit. Another eight injured are in different hospitals in the city.
It should be reminded that on October 13 morning a truck crashed into a passenger bus on the way to the airport.
As a result, 5 people were killed on the spot and 25 others injured.
8 injured were treated on the spot, 17 more were taken to hospitals. After receiving medical treatment, they were released.
A criminal case has been opened under Article 263.3 (Violation of traffic rules and vehicle operation resulting in death of two or more people through negligence) of the Criminal Code.
The driver of the truck, M. Azizov, was arrested.-0-

On January 7, President Ilham Aliyev signed a decree increasing the salaries of employees in several organizations funded by the state budget. According to the decree, the monthly salaries of managerial and other employees in around 20 institutions (including the Presidium, Apparatus, and Ganja Branch of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences, and the Heydar Aliyev Center) will increase by an average of 15% starting January 1, 2025.
