Baku / 08.28.19 / Turan: In connection with the forest fires of recent days, the Ministry of Ecology identified suspected arsons and sent materials to law enforcement agencies. This was reported to Turan by the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources.
For example, in one of the cases a wheat field was set on fire, and the fire spread to the forest.
The Ministry of Ecology also noted that in the forest zones of the Gakh, Zagatala, Oguz, Gabala and Sheki districts, video surveillance cameras have already been installed to monitor the situation. -21B06-

President of the European Parliament Roberta Metsola has invited Azerbaijani economist and political prisoner Professor Gubad Ibadoglu to Strasbourg to attend the 2024 Sakharov Prize award ceremony.
