Former military commissar of Sabunchu region arrested for corruption
Baku/17.08.21/Turan: Facts about the unfitness for military service for money have been revealed in the Sabunchi district department of the State Service for mobilization and conscription.
The investigation established that in the period from November 2016 to May 2019, the head of the department, Rovshan Babayev, in collusion with senior officer Yashar Huseynov and others, received bribes for recognizing 11 people unfit for military service without legal grounds, the press service of the Prosecutor General's Office.
Babayev and Huseynov were charged under articles of the Criminal Code 341.2.1 (Abuse of power, resulting in grave consequences), 311.3.1 (taking a bribe committed by a group of persons by prior conspiracy or by an organized group), 311.3.2 (taking a bribe, repeatedly) and 313 (service forgery).
In relation to Babayev, a measure of restraint was chosen in the form of arrest, and in relation to Huseynov - transfer under police supervision. –06D-
